It’s that time of the year again! The Annual Meeting Weekend 2023 is fast approaching, and this is your call to action.
Happening in Stockholm from November 17-19, this event is a key date in the Swedish Effective Altruism community’s calendar.
The Annual Meeting Weekend is more than just an event; it’s where new connections are made, ideas are shared, and initiatives get a nudge forward. Here, you’re not just a participant; you’re an integral part of a movement striving for positive change.
The weekend is thoughtfully put together with a mix of sessions, workshops, and one-on-one meetups, creating a space for learning, sharing, and networking. Whether you’re a longtime EA member or new to the community, there’s a welcoming space for you. Our preliminary schedule is filled with a variety of activities from inspiring talks covering multiple areas to interactive workshops, networking sessions, informal activities and much more.
This year’s edition will unfold a rich variety of discussions spanning a spectrum of crucial topics including:
Global Health and Policy Work;
Global Priorities Research and Cause Area Exploration;
Career opportunities in Advocacy, Policymaking, and Governance;
Global Catastrophic Risks (including AI Safety and Governance and biosecurity);
Mental Health and Well-being;
Community Building and Community Health.

Event Breakdown:
Friday: Networking Dinners 18-20.
Saturday: Core content day 9-17, Networking* Opportunities (throught the day) and Party at Neurora** 19-00
Sunday: Annual Meeting and spontaneous content. 10-13 the Annual Meeting and 14-17 The Unconference and networking
*Opportunities for one-on-one meetings will be arranged on Saturday and Sunday, facilitated by Swapcard or on-site volunteers.
**Neurora is an EA-related co-living space in Stockholm.

Travel Support: Limited fund available for exceptional cases where travel costs hinder participation.
Price: No charge, except for the dinner event on Friday.
