The Introductory EA Program (virtual)

Through this online course, you'll learn the key ideas of EA with a small group of like-minded people.

Guided by a facilitator, you'll gain access to curated materials and practical exercises to help you have a greater impact.

The Introductory EA Program is a free online program open for anyone around the world to join.

  • 8 week program with 4-8 participants
    You'll have weekly 1.5-hour discussions with a cohort of 4-8 participants and one facilitator.

  • 1400 alumni in online group
    Access a Slack group with others who care about maximising their impact.

  • 3.5 hours per week

    • 2 hours prep
      Before attending each discussion, you’ll spend roughly 2 hours completing a set of readings, podcasts or videos (and sometimes a brief written exercise).

    • 1.5 hour discussions
      Discuss the ideas you've read with your seminar and facilitator over video call.

The Introductory EA Program (in-person)

Learn the key ideas of EA with a small group of like-minded people meeting weekly in-person.

Applications are open! Next cohort will be hosted in May. Apply by April 14.

This course consist of four session 1.5 hours long that will be hosted in central Stockholm on May 2, 9, 16, 23. Sessions start at 18:00.

EA Sweden Summer Retreat

Welcome to the EA Sweden Summer Retreat – a unique opportunity to connect, learn, and make a difference in the world through the lens of Effective Altruism.

This three-day retreat usually runs in August, offering a rich program filled with thought-provoking discussions, collaborative brainstorming sessions, and networking opportunities with fellow altruists. 

We invite everyone interested in effective altruism – from those who are just starting their journey, to seasoned practitioners. Whether you're a student, a professional, a philanthropist, or simply a curious mind, your perspective is valued!

EAGxNordics
2024

EAGxNordics’24 is an Effective Altruism conference organised by the Nordic and Baltic EA communities. It features three days of networking, talks, and workshops on how to do good effectively.

EAG(x) conferences are a great way to connect with people in the EA community, discover new opportunities, and learn more about the community, various projects, and cause areas.

When: 26–28 April 2024

Where: CPH Conference, Tietgensgade 65, 1704 Copenhagen

EAGxNordics’24 is primarily for people who are:

  • Familiar with the core ideas of effective altruism

  • Interested in learning more about what to do with these ideas

  • From the Nordic or Baltic countries, living there, or planning on moving there

If you want to attend but are unsure about whether to apply, please err on the side of applying!

Annual Meeting Weekend is a key date in the Swedish Effective Altruism community’s calendar.

The Annual Meeting Weekend is more than just an event; it's where new connections are made, ideas are shared, and initiatives get a nudge forward. Here, you're not just a participant; you're an integral part of a movement striving for positive change.

The weekend is thoughtfully put together with a mix of sessions, workshops, and one-on-one meetups, creating a space for learning, sharing, and networking. Whether you're a longtime EA member or new to the community, there's a welcoming space for you.
